My temperature gauge is all the way up beyond the "H" mark even when the vehicle has been sitting overnight it jumps there immediately.

I would like to ask which sensor/switch would be potentially responsible for inaccurate temp readings so that I may replace the parts for new.

A diagram would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Sure, this car has two engine coolant temperature sensors one is in the bottom of the radiator which is for the cooling fan operation and the other is near the valve cover here is the location of the sensor and how to replace it in the images below. Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

How can I troubleshoot the gauge inside the instrument panel itself? Is this a non-repairable part?

You can send the cluster to be tested, the temperature gauge output readings are generated from the PCM which I have seen go bad, but I think it would be a good idea to run the codes to see what comes up. You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) which will work on most cars from Amazon.

Here is a video to show you how:

Please go over these guides and get back to us.
