I've got a taping sound when idling and acceleration. There is a valve cover oil leak and I've found oil in cylinder 3 spark plug tube. I was going to change the gasket, spark plug and oil. I was going to use Lucas in the oil when I change it.

Hello,

A tapping sound coming from your vehicle's engine is usually the camshaft tapping the top of the valves because there is not enough engine oil in your engine. Please check the engine oil level on your vehicle's dipstick, add as needed until it reaches the full mark, and get back to us with what you find out please. We can go from there.

Thanks,
Alex
