I'm thinking about getting a 350z and engine swapping it with a 2jz engine from a Is300 but the only problem is the 350z will be manual and the is300 is automatic so will there be any compatibility issues because the engine is being swapped from a auto car to a manual car?

Good morning,

No, you will be okay. You need to get a flywheel and pilot bushing for the transmission and the clutch for the installation.

It looks like the engines are pretty much the same. You may have to change some external components over for the swap but looks like a straight forward swap.

Okay, so does that mean I will need to change the flywheel and stuff on the 2jz engine or on the actual transmission? Because the car I am putting the engine in is already manual.

Hi, so I just got a car that is FWD and I was planning on swapping the engine and I really want to put a 2jz engine in it, but the car I have is manual and FWD and the car i'm getting the engine out of is a automatic RWD car. I just needed to know if there would be any major work needed to be done or if I can just put the engine right into the car with no compatibility issues?

No, as I responded to your other post, these are 2 different engines.

This will be a huge project.
