Engine oil brand

I am 1 1/2 quarts low on oil and only place open close to me was dollar general and I bought dollar general brand SAE 5W-30 Oil. The user manual confused me (hence why I'm here) it said to use vehicle specific so now I'm wondering if I can use the oil I bought?
