I had an oil change done and apparently a plug was stripped so all the oil leaked out of my car. I drove it while it was leaking unaware of the issue. Upon realizing the issue, it was fixed. Now there's a yellow engine light on, I was told it was the purge valve. I was told that I should check the Solenoid. Could all the oil leaking out my car have cause an unforeseen issue?

The oil issue cannot cause the EVAP purge solenoid to go out. Does the engine sound okay now, full of oil? Here is the location of the EVAP purge solenoid so you can change it out, also check the hoses going to the valve to make sure they are in good condition, #8 in the diagram. Check out the images (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
