Engine idle jumps from 900 to about 1,500 RPM's

I was going to check the timing as I already replaced the Throttle Position Sensor and Idle Control Valve. I saw a post about using a paper clip, but I can't find anything on the actually procedure. I will be cleaning the throttle body but thought I'd check everything.

Yep. Here is the procedure including the paper clip.

Another thing to check is for vacuum leaks. Here is a guide that goes through how to do that:
