Hi,

That is possible, but I need to know why it's needed. What symptoms took you to a shop for diagnostics? What reasons did the shop provide to justify a new engine?

Let me know as much as you can.

Initially, the engine was ticking under 2,500 RPMs for about a week. It started to get louder and then it started to lose power on the freeway while accelerating. I made it home, turned it off and started it back up and it ticked louder. I then had it towed to the shop and was able to drive into the bay. While it was running it began to burn rich (smelling gas). There was continuous ticking. We revved it up and it sounded like it was going to cut off but it didn't. It was ticking/knocking and now it is parked in the lot at the repair shop.
This car was very reliable up until now. I would have to either get a used car or put an engine in the Saturn. I've put suspension, rear main seals, minor cosmetics, and regular maintenance.

Hi,

Does the engine still run? Could you record it and upload it for me to hear? Also, did the oil pressure light turn on?
