Several lights came on one after the other. First was Transmission System-P1717 on the navigation screen. Elected to check later instead of check now. That went off then on the dash indicators, the check adaptive front light system came on, then check transmission came on, then AFS check adaptive front lighting system light came on, then check emissions system came on, and only that last one remains on. What could it be? I took it to AutoZone, and they scanned it, but said that they didn’t trust the scan because what came up seemed erratic... (Power train system reverse no position and antilock brake system control unit low-voltage, CAN Communication failure). Wondering if it would even be cost-effective to fix whatever is wrong given it’s a 2006.

The CAN Communication failure is going to be the problem, you need to do a CAN scan which is easy to do yourself. for about $30.00 you can get a CAN scanner from Amazon. here is a video to show you how and a link to a scanner from Amazon. This will tell us exactly what is wrong. It sounds like the driver's side MICU is going out, but we need to be sure.

and

Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
