Drivers side window and mirror buttons not working

On my drivers side door my window and mirror buttons go from working to none working and back. Took it in and they said that they have to remove all of the seats to see what's wrong. Any truck or car I ever worked on was never under the seats. Wondering if this is true. I'm thinking that there looking at the seat wiring.

Hello, I've never heard of having to remove seats for checking a window switch or door wiring. Since you're having multiple problems, I would start with the wiring that runs through the rubber boot on the door. Maybe a second opinion is in order from a different shop.
