Transmission problem
2004 Dodge Stratus 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive 120023 miles

I was driving home last night and went to turn down a street and thats when i noticed that i had lost all power steering when driving striaght and going to switch lanes can hear a loud squilling please help

Something is locked up causing the drive belt to squeal. Have a professional actually open the hood and look at it. Anything else is a guess and will be wrong. Unless a tree branch bounced up in there, a seized bearing in the alternator would probably be the most likely cause. Remove the belt, then see which item will not spin freely. Power steering pump is not likely, alternator is most likely, and check the idler pulleys.
