I had my check engine light come on yesterday, so I had the code checked at Autozone, came back as a P0138, oxygen sensor bank 1 sensor 2.

I know that this sensor is located after the catalytic converter, but where exactly on the car is it located? I want to replace this myself, and help would be appreciated.

P0138 does not necessarily mean the O2 sensor. It refers to the electrical circuit of the sensor. It may be the sensor, or the connector, or the wiring , or the ground to the PCM.

Thanks for the information, this vehicle had sat unused for about a year prior to my purchase of it. I was told by my father to clear the trouble code and see if it comes back, just because it had sat.

If I have to test the voltage, where along the sensor do I do that?
