Engine Performance problem
2007 Dodge Sprinter Two Wheel Drive Automatic 7500 miles

Please help me locate the oil and fuel filters on my 5 cyclinder diesel Mercedes Sprinter. Also any things I need to know to do these filter replacements my self like special tools or tricks. Also, on the stick to check the auto trans fluid. It says to take to dealer cause a special tool is need to pull out the stick. Any suggestions to defeat this rip off. Would gladly take vehicle to dealer for all above services but their prices are astronominical !Thanks

My locator doesnt show any info on much of anything. Mercedes is real good at keeping alot of info until they think the public is ready for it. The filters, you should be able to locat ethe oil filter by looking around the bottom of the engine with a flashlight, if it has an oil cooler follow the lines, may have a remote filter mount. The fuel filter/seperator, is usually on the engine around the top near the injection pump. Trans, they use a machine that is hooked up inline to reinstall teh same amount of fluid it removes, if you remove the top of the dipstick you may void the warranty.

Thanks for the reply, but quite frankly it wasn't worth 5 bucks! Didn't tell me much more than I already knew. Sorry
