Engine Performance problem
2004 Dodge Sprinter Two Wheel Drive Automatic 250000 miles

I had to reseal the injectors, due to the fact that the copper injector gaskets failed.I also replaced the high pressure fuel pump due to external leaking. Vehicle will not start now.I get a trouble code P2051 fuel rail pressure exceeds max.I could really use some help on this. It has been in the shop for over a week now, and I'm at my wits end. I own a German auto repair facility, and ever since the dodge dealer went out of business here, I seem to have inherited all of these things. Thanks, Tim.

Fuel pressure return line could be pinched/blocked which would cause excessive pressure, fuel pressure sensor could be bad (check this by checking fuel pressure with mechanical gauge). If mechanical pressure gauge shows pressure is within limits, the FPR or pressure sensor is likely culprit.

Other possibilities are the fuel pump is wrong unit or defective.
