Hi:
Is the white smoke steam from the engine or out the exhaust?

If it's coming from the exhaust, it sounds like a headgasket problem. If it's coming from under the hood, we have several things to check.

First, does you heater work well in the car? If not, try having the t-stat replaced. If that doesn't correct the problem, check the radiator hoses when the vehicle is hot to see if any of them are collapsing. Pay special to the lower rad hose. If they are fine, have the radiator boiled out / rodded out.
