Left key on, dead battery

Ileft the key on in my truck ove rthe weekend. 2006 dodge Ram 2500 Series Hemi. Disconnected the battery and charge the battery. Started the truck and the gauges are still lit. Someone told me I had to have the computer reset. Is this something I can do.

You can try, diconnect the battery, let it sit for about 10 minutes, with the battery diconnected ground the positive cablefor a couple of minutes then disconnect, then reconnect the battery, the vehicle would have to be driven about 50 miles before the computer completly resets itself. Or you can take it to the dealer or garage and have them reset the computer.
