04 Dodge Ram Quad cab 4x4 110,000 Diesel

I engage the Cruise and it will run for only seconds then it will kick off. I can not reengage it until I turn off the engine.

Could have a faulty cursie control switch, Or the relay is not functioning.

I have the same problem with a 2001 Durango Sport. Cruise control comes on for a short while, less than a minute, and then goes off. Will not come on again until you shut off the engine and restart it. I also found out that when I turn on the cruise control, all three braked lights come on, and then gradually dim until they and the cruise control go off. I have replaced the clock spring and stop lamp switch on the brake pedal with no fix found yet. Good luck.

I had the same problem in my 1996 Ram and come to find out it was my cruise control cpu that was going bad according to the dealer and they repalced it and it works fine now
