Ok. I have a Dodge Ram 1500 v8 4x4 sport with 107,000. It was running rough, and when I hit around 55-60 mph it would shake very bad and the engine light was on. I gave it a tune up and noticed one of the spark plugs was covered in oil. After the tune up, the check engine light went off and drove like new. A week later my engine light comes on again and the same problems happens. Is it cause that one spark plug that oil is leaking into? Please help me!

What year dodge and which V8 5.2=318, 5.7=cant think off hand, or 5.9=360. And yes it would be caused by oil getting onto that plug. Pull the plug that had oil on it and see if its covered again. And im amazed that it didnt idle rough and have poor acceleration, plus loose of gas milage. Well let us know and we'll see if we can help. Thnks jess s.

Im thinking that u might have to have new piston rings. Dont think these would be caused by any of the valves which would be welcomed than piston rings
