2005 Dodge Ram motor hesitates

Hello just the other day my truck started to hesitate on exceloration. Though it was the transmission caus 1 gear was fine would start to choke alittle in 2nd and then from 2nd to 3rd would almost feal like hitting the rev limiter. And the trans was not sliping felt like the fuel was being cut off. And also I have a small e-vap code brought it to the dealer they smoked the system and said that they could not find a leak. Still have the dummy light on. Thanks for the help. Could the hesitation be bad gass

Hi:
First, make sure the gas cap is good, and there is no rust or corrosion around the filler neck. As far as the engine, it almost sounds like a fuel pump problem. Try running a test on the pump. Many parts stores will lend or rent the gauge. It's not a difficult test.
