Computer problem
2005 Dodge Ram Hemi Two Wheel Drive Automatic 97000 miles

My truck has been stalling in the morning when coming to a stop, and once it warms up it doesn't stall anymore. I let the truck warm up every morning for about 10 minutes. Yesterday I was letting it warm up and it stalled during warm up. I started it again, it did the same thing. I could hear the fuel pump going on and off with the key in the on position. The computer is putting out the code PO601. The computer has not been displaying any codes untill now. This is the only code it puts out. I just wanted to see if I can get any input. Thank You. I am adding something else I just found out, When I turn my key to the on position about 3 minutes after the key is on I hear the fuel pump start clicking on and off. I can hear clicking in the relay and the throttle body. I tried a new fuel pump relay and that did nothing.?

Hello
Thanks for the donation

P0601 indicates Internal Memory Checksum Invalid.

Most likely culprit is the PCM (powertrain control module). I suggest swapping PCM with a known good one to see if it cures the problem. Something is internally wrong with PCM which is what causes vehicle to stall on you and fuel pump to be acting up.

Thanks for using 2CarPros. Com!
