2003 Dodge Ram

My truck will fire up fine, no problem- however, it will not stay on. It immediatelly shuts off, unless im depressing the excellerator pedal, as soon as I let off of the pedal the truck cuts off. Its like eight degrees here in Milwaukee- if that should mean anything.

Hi:
Chances are the throttle position sensor (TPS) or the idle air control valve (IAC) is bad. However, that is a guess without checking the computer for codes. Take it to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan it for codes. Most will do it for free. Let me know what you find.
