2001 Dodge Ram 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual 145k miles

How much will a repair shop charge me to rebuild the soleniod on the starter of my Dodge Ram2500 Turbo Cummins Deisel? I can buy the rebuild kit with extra large contacts for around $50. Money's tight these days so I think I could do this myself. From the instructions I've looked at it doesn't seem too hard to do. It depends on your answer. Thanks

Hi there,

If you take the starter out they may charge around 1 Hrs labour to do this + parts if you don't supply the kit, but a lot of workshops may not do the job un less they supply all parts as well, you will have to ask this question of the repairer.
