2001 Dodge Ram speed sensor

My speedometer dont work and the check engine light is on it says speed sensor A so I replaced the sensor on the transmisson and it still dont work

That's what happens when you replace a part based on a trouble code with no diagnostic approach. Believe it or not, there is a flowchart of tests to perform for every trouble code to accuratley diagnose a problem. Is the code still present? What is the code?
