Hi:
The cost is really going to depend on what is needed. For example, are the heads good, do you plan to replace the cam, crank, are the cylenders ok? It could easily reach cost in excess of 2K. You may want to get a cost for a reman long block from a nationally recognized parts store. Plus you will get a warranty on it.

Let me know if you have other questions. Also, what is it doing that makes you believe the engine needs overhauled?

It over heated an it blew the motor. How much would it be for a whole new motor?

Hi:
The cost is really going to be based on where you live. However, contact a nationally recognized parts store (auto zone, advance.) And tell them you need the price for a "Long Block". And then tell them the engine size they should be able to give you a price. Then you will need to have it installed. They have reman companies they deal with.

Let me know if you have other questions.
