Where did the cable break? Sometimes you get lucky and they break near therelease handle, so you can grab it with pliers and pull. If elsewhere, try looking up from underneath the front to see if you can get to the latch or to the cable to pull it and release the hood

I think it broke at the latch it's self. I have tried to go from underneath but there is an additional radiator in front therefore I can't get to the latch.

Might have to go from underneath then, sorry I cant be more accurate they are all different. Can you see the cable housing from the front? If so try grabbing it with something to see if it will release it for you
