HUSBAND HAS A 2500 DODGE RAM 1995 HAS BEEN LEAKING POWER STEERING FLUID FOR OVER A YEAR NOW. WE SEE IT ON DRIVEWAY AND GUYS WHERE WE GET OIL CHANGES SAID IT COULD BE THE PUMP? WHERE DO WE START? JUST SOME SIMPLE CHECK POINTS FIRST FOR US BEFORE WE HAVE TO SPEND ALOT. ALSO IF WE NEED A PUMP WHAT COST ARE WE LOOKING AT? IT HAS HIGH MILAGE AND WE CHANGE OIL EVERY 4,000 NOW SINCE IT IS OLD. RUNS GOOD AND STEERING IS GOOD. NOT SURE WHAT SIZE ENGINE. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

About $390.00 for a pump, 1 hrs labour and oil, but first I would wash it down and the hoses and check for fresh leaks after a short run, you should start to see the fresh oil leak on the pump if it is actually leaking.
