After the engine reaches operating temperature, my "Idiot" oil light on the dash starts to flicker, but only when I come to a stop or idling. It does not stay lit it just flickers. Then when I give it gas to take off the light quits flickering. The oil gauge shows a pressure reading however it seems low, and while watching the gauge one time the needle did bury to zero until I revved the engine then pressure was back for a short time. I changed the oil pressure switch already and that didn't fix it. HELP.

If you check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge and its normal and you replace the pressure switch-then your oil pressure gauge is out of calibration. Now if its abnormal could be the oil pump sticking/clogged pick-up screen/etc. Do you hear knocking noises when its happening?

No, when the light is flickering no noises are heard from the engine I forgot to mention that in my original question. If it is the oil gauge thats out of calibration how do I fix that?
