So my dodge ram 50 runs hot when going up hills or sitting in traffic. I have changed the radiator, flushed the system, checked the heater core, checked all hoses, changed the thermostat twice, Changed the sending unit, temp switch, checked the timing, and checked the wiring to the gauge. I have no leaks and im stumped. The only thing left is the water pump, fan clutch, and I dont have a shroud. What do you think?

I have checked to see if it speeds up with the motor and it does. Is there a way to know for sure?

Wanted to add that with the motor off, it free spins with a little bit of resistance. It also is always rotating when the engine is running. Dont see any leaks and it seems to speed up when motor is throttled.

I had the same problem with an old jeep. I put a fan shroud on and stopped having problems. Sounds like about the only thing you haven't tried.
