2005 Dodge Neon Broken timing belt

Engine Mechanical problem
2005 Dodge Neon 4 cyl 67700 miles

I was on the way home from when my timing belt went out. I took it to Pepboy's and they said it could not be fix due tothe type of engine in the car.I want to know what is special about this engine and what can I do about it?

P.S. Engine type is a 2.0

It can be repaired might be too big a job for Peppy. You have an interference engine that means when the belt goes pistons keep movihg valves do not contact $$$$Ouch. So besides the belt the cylinder head will need some new valves. @ 1300 to $1500
