My car just died! They way it died made me think bad fuel, the only time the car would start was when we sprayed starting fluid in the air filter, then it would start, but would shake as if it were running out of gas, hitting the accelerator made no difference then it would just die after about 15 seconds! My nephew has a computer that we hooked up and it said that it needed a crankshaft sensor, so we replaced that. Still nothing! So then we cleaned the fuel filter, not replacing it due to the fact that you can't get them for less than $250.00 because you can't get them without buying the pump. So we took a parts cleaner to it and replaced it. Still same symptoms. Help!

You've changed the CPS for what reason-No Spark? Using starting fluid and its starts up-sounds like fuel problem-check the fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge and come back with the readings.

The fuel pressure was great when we checked it and I changed the crank shaft sensor 1 because of no spark and 2 because when I hooked it up to the computer that what read was bad! The pump is good and the filter has been cleaned and hooked back up. So now what?

Earlier you had spark-fuel pressure is good now-check engine compression. Still no start-triple check the igniton system-also find the ASD relay if it has one and bench test it-this one powers the coil/injectors/fuel pump-
