I am writing a book and know essentially nothing about cars. I have a character who has a bent front axle, and I was wondering: if the front wheels are facing far enough inward that it won't drive anywhere, is there some sort of quick fix way to either drive or push the car down the road a little ways WITHOUT using a tow truck?

**the make/model/year of the car are all negotiable**

If you have a broken axle(on a front wheel drive car )
the car will act like its in neutral
you can not drive the car but it can be pushed
if have front wheel facing inward that would be possible tie rods

and itll be very difficult to push or to drive and a tow truck is needed
if an axle is bent due to an accident of some sort
it will have no effect on the way tires look
as you drive down the round you would have a lot of vibration and shaken
hope this answer your question
good luck
