Engine Mechanical problem
1996 Dodge Neon 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

We have used the 3 prong puller but it wasn't budging and now it seized up. Is there something that needs to be removed before or are we using the wrong kind of puller?

Make sure the screw jack is not in interference with the balancer. So get a good pull even on all three bolts then tap the top of the screw jack. Sometimes it maybe necessary to heat the center of balancer.
Good luck

When you say three prong pull does this thing have arms and hook around the outside of balancer?
If so wrong puller you need an harmonic puller it bolts to balancer in those bolt holes in the center. Auto Zone can rent, you will never get it off with a bearing puller.

Yea we are using a 3 jaw puller, the only problem is the pulley doesn't have bolt holes.
