or has she burnt out the clutch?

i tried to drive it the other day to get a feel for it she would get upto 60 mph for a few mins but then she starts to loose power again im hoping its just the trans fluid what do u suggest I should check before I replace all the fluid I dont want to fill her up then have to drain her again

HI NOMIC,
I HATE TO SAY IT BUT IF IT RAN OUT OF FLUID, IT IS PROBABLY DONE, THE 31TH WASNT A STRONG UNIT, I WOULD HATE TO SEE YOU WASTING GOOD MONEY ON FLUID AND SHIFT SOLENOIDS, IT NEEDS TO COME APART

THANKS

JIM

I just picked the car back up I put fluid in her she ran fine for like 10 mins on the way back to my garage then the clutch started to slip in drive I dropped to second she was ok for another 10 miles the she started to slip in second I got her home in first and second but the clutch was slipping real bad second up

when I took the trans dip stick out all u could smell was burn

u think its just the clurch?

Or should I put another trans in?

And how hard is it to replace a trans I did a head gasket at the age of 18 from a haynes manual and it worked after so im not illiterate to technical proceedures
