My starter solenoid is bad and I would like to change it. What is the best way to do this without replacing the starter aswell.

Hi there,
you will have to remove the starter to do the solinoid, it would be a waste of time not doing the starter as a unit, remember that the rest of the starter has done just as much work as the solenoid, so at least a set of brushes and bearings as well.
