My car was recently towed after I parallel parked in front of an unmarked driveway. I fear that the car, when it was positioned out of the spot so it could be towed, was racked back and forth hard enough to break the seal of the metal tube connecting to what I believe is the water pump at the front of the engine. Up to that day I had no warning signs or indicator lights draw my attention to any issues with the engine or cooling system previous to being towed. Now my real concern is getting a better understanding of what the true nature of the damage is, and how to fix it.
I've attached this close up for reference.

This image gives you a better idea where we're looking just below the air intake.

Nothing leads me to believe there are any other issues in the cooling system except at that location. What can I expect a mechanic to say to me? Unfortunately my local firestone has tried to take me for more repairs and money then is necessary (they diagnose things very well, but opt to have me to do full replacement of parts rather then address the problem specifically).
