Oil Light Issue

I have a 1998 Dodge Intrepid with 116,000 miles and a 3.2L engine.

My question is there a reason why my oil light would be coming on for no aparent reason? There is plenty of oil and I do not see any leaks. The engine light is not on either. It just started to do this. Please Help this is driving me baty.

The light at this stage is telling you the pressure is low! Have it checked by a gauge! Might be time for a new oil pump or engine bearings! Maybe you should use a heavier oil. But first test the pressure!

It only happens when the car is warm and is at idle. If I apply gas It turns off.
