Computer problem
2002 Dodge Intrepid 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

On my 2002 Dodge Intrepid, unless the car is allowed to warm up for several minutes, when you start driving, the check engine light flashes and the car has no power above idle speed. This last for about 2 minutes and then the car runs fine.
I just had the car tuned up as suggested by one mechanic but the problem persists.

Flashing check engine light means severe emission problem that may cause damage to the catalytic converter. You should have the computer scanned for codes for proper diagnostic.

The original problem with this car was O2 sensor, at least that was the code. We replaced it, a week later the check engine light came back on. The problem now with the flashing check engine light and no power, came after we replaced the O2 sensor. The only code now is still for the O2 sensor. No other codes.

Different code has different diagnostic. Please post the code number, rather than the description.
