2002 Dodge Intrepid Check engine light

The check engine lights come on in my car for about a month at a time go's off and no one can find the problem, how can I shut the check engine light off?
Can someone answer this and tell me how.

You need to have a scanner capable of clearing the codes. But until the problem is fixed it will continue to come on.

A few questions.

Did you go to a garage for diagnosis while light was on?

Did you notice anything different about the way it drove, ran etc.
