My engine light came on and I had the dealer check for codes. I don't know the alpha-numeric code, but this is what the tech said it was. He took the sensor out and found it full of oil. He said I needed a new one ($187) but I cleaned that one and reinstalled it and it works fine. For about 24 hours. Then I have to repeat, etc.

This car has the 2.7 litre engine in it, which I am learning has been a problem issue with Chrysler for some time. I run synthetic oil in the engine. The tech says that the engine is just blowing oil and that only real fix is a new engine. Is there any thing I can do to control the oil flow/blowing problem? Would a heavier weight oil help? The car looks almost new, but due to age, I'm not sure I want to buy an new engine for it.

If the oil have been changed on a regular basis, the engine should be fine. Make sure the PCV valve is clear and not plugged. Also, with the engine running, open the oil fill cap and let me know how much pressure is coming out and if there is smoke.
