Good Morning, My oil light keeps coming on when I come to a stop. Then goes out when I start moving again. I have checked oil and it is good. Could this be a oil pump problem or just a defective light sensor? I never see any oil leaking out under my car occasionally the oil does get about a half quart low.I have the oil changed every 3000 miles.I use oil for high mileage engines. I am curious where is the fuel pump on this 2.7 engine located.

OK this could be a bad oil sending unit or bad oil pump or? Now what I would do is change the oil sending unit unless you have a way to check the pressure manually. The oil pump is inside the oil pan. Now I would use a bottle of lucas engine oil stabilizer if the oil light continues coming on. I had an engine do this once and putting in lucas let me push off rebuilding the engine for 2 yrs.
