I just bought a 99 intrepid today and drove it for about two miles when it overheated and stalled because my friend forgot to put water in it. After it stalled the ignition locked up and wouldnt turn. We broke the ignition lose and got it turning with a screwdriver but now it wont turn over we have all the power radio a/c lights etc but it wont turn the starter over. Also the anti theft light stays on it doesnt go off any suggestions on what to do

You now need to replace the ignition and have the computer reset to accept the new signal. Presently, the security system has the engine shut down. The car thinks it's being stolen.

Is there any click from the starter?

Let me know. Also, since it was overheated, make sure the engine turns over and isn't locked up. Put a socket on the crank bolt with a breaker bar (key off so it can't start) and see if you can turn the motor that way. If you can, it isn't locked up.

Let me know what you find.
