I have a 1996 dodge intrepid 3.5 ltr v6, on the left side of the intake manifold (passanger side) there is a vacuum outlet with two ports, one is capped off ( the smaller one facing toward the front of the car) the other is larger and facing the firewall and is missing the hose and is sucking air. If I close it off the engine dies, if I partially close it off the engine idles down a bit. What I need to know is where does this missing hose go to. Can you please ell me

This is a picture of my engine with the coil pack un-pluged and the one vacuum hose has been disconnected to allow me to get to the coil pack. The blue line shows where the connethe hose goes. The red line is the other hose and it goes around the back under there. Ihad to just feel it.

There is a vacuum hose discussion in this forum under the entry 1996 dodge intrepid 3.5 hose diagram.

I've inserted this link. You can try just clicking on it. :!: OR  You can copy it, open a new explorer window and paste it in the address bar. This should take you to that discussion.

:D I take no credit for this. It was an answer to my question posted by Paul. :)

Good luck I've been working on my car for several weeks. My vacuum leak was only the first part of my problem. :P
