1996 Dodge Intrepid 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I have replaced the coolant resovouir which was leaking and the thermostat. That soved the problem for a couple of weeks. Now it is using a lot of coolant. The oil light flashes intermittantly daily but only when stopping. Im thinking that the oil pressure sensor is bad. Because I know that low on oil can cause a car to get hot.

If it is using coolant and the oil light is flashing then you probably have a failed head gasket or cracked head. Check the oil to see if coolant has mixed into it and created a milkshake looking formula.
