Transmission problem
2001 Dodge Durango V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 130000 miles

My check engine light has been on for 4 days because of code P1740 and on the 5th day I came home from work parked my car and 1 hour later it was on fire is this possible?

If it happened It's not only possible, it's fact! May or may not be related, but it seems wiring was THE issue. There was a recall for the code 1740, did you get the notice? Here's the front page of it.

My mistake, it did not go to a recall, just a tecnical service bulliten, I will send both to you via email, dont know what good it will do after a fire though.
