2000 Dodge Dakota one dim headlight

2000 Dodge Dakota 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

the drives side headlight is dim I tried re grounding it like it was described in your electrical section, but the headlight stays on even then the switch is off can you help thanks
