Hello when my 2000 dakota is warm the engine light comes on, rpm's surge up and down alot, it will not idle properly, feels like tranny is kicking in and out of passing gear. I have had it in a couple shops, senors have been reset, all new wiring to the computer has been done and the problem countinues. Thanks for any help.

Hi:
What do you mean by sensors have been reset? Were they replaced?

Hi:
It sounds like they reset the computer. What I need you to do is go to a nationally recognized auto parts location and have them scan the computer for new codes. Most of these places will do it for free.

Let me know what code you get.
