1998 Dodge Dakota gauge problem

When starting the truck the airbag and security lights stay on and the truck loses all dash instruments for example no speedometer. Rpm gauge. Oil gauge and thermostat. They go to zero. However the truck still runs.

Suspect loose connector pins on the back of the cluster. They can be soldered to make a solid electrical connection.

If the radio and / or heater fan also stop working, suspect burned contacts on the ignition switch or overheated wires and terminals in the switch connector.
