1998 Dodge Dakota fault codes

I am getting two codes, P0500 and P0121. "Brake and ABS and check eng. Lights on, speedometer not registering. I understand that the P0500 code can come from VSS on differential, but I know anything about the P0121 code (TPS). Can both codes come from the VSS failing?

DTC P0121 indicates the throttle position sensor (TPS) voltage does not agree with the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor.

This code IS related to the vehicle speed sensor code because if you have a faulty VSS then it will also throw a faulty TPS code.
