1997 dodge dakota airbag light started comming on and goes off after a few seconds I noticed at the same time that the speedometer needle shot up to 120mph and went right back down it seems that this only happens when drivings speeds a between 20 - 45 mph. Seems to run fine after warming up, but I also noticed that whan using the cruise control that the truck wont hold a constant speed speeds up and slows down. Could these problems be caused by vaccum leak or maybe electrical? Pls. Help

Your engine is either not recieving speed information necessary for the speed control, speedometer, and ABS computer to work properly or you may have different problems for each. You really should check your PCM codes. The speed sensor mounts near the back of the transmission and is used for all 3. Also its a highly used item that failed often. The plastic gear may also be bad. Ok
