1995 Dodge Dakota Stutter

My dakota while running down the road has an occasional stutter, where the tac drops to nothing and the engine light blinks for that moment. Also when you shut the hood while the truck is running, it will stall.

Once the Check Engine flashed, a diagnostic code was memorized that indicates the circuit with the problem. Look for anything that moves or flexes when you close the hood. In particular, vacuum hoses, the air intake tube, and wiring harnesses. As for the tach, I'd suspect the crankshaft position sensor or its wiring first.
