Would you suspect a fuel, mechanical, vacuum, or electrical problem? What else does the vehicle do, or what has it done in the recent past? As much information as you can supply will help diagnose a problem like this.
Does it bog down at/after 2000 - 2500 RPMs?
Vacuum / electrical / carb/fuel injection or pump.
Is it over-heating?
Coolant level / air or water flow.
Is there white or blue smoke coming from the exhaust when this happens?
Mechanical (head gasket, rings/compression, fuel filter.)
